Creating Transparent Background

You have your logo ready in photoshop. Now, what if you want to create a transparent background so that it can be used in any background.

Ok, I know, you will say that go to Help>Export Transparent Image and …. Yes you are right, but what if you have some drop shadow behind the logo? If you know the answer then thanks for reading the above lines… if not then the post below is for you :)

Open you logo :-

Go to layers pallate. Right click either on the ‘f’ icon near the shape1 (the name of your layer) or on the red circle

After that, select Create layers and click ok. You now have two layers.

Our next step is to select both layers. Press the control key and click on the Shape 1 layer. Now, press shift and control together and click on Shape 1’s Drop Sh… layer.

Press control + i to inverse the selection.

Now the last few steps. Click on Help>Export Transparent Image and follow these steps :-

Our last step is to click on Next and save the transparent file and name it as you like. Great job guys, you have a transparent image .
